Our Mission is to teach and practice the prevention, management
and resolution of conflict in the community, the nation and the
world through the utilization of time-tested theories, processes
and techniques which ensure equitable, practical and lasting agreements.

Welcome to CRI.

Formerly as
a non-profit institution and now as a department of The Lincoln Institute, we have been assisting people,
organizations and nations to resolve their differences and create
practical agreements rooted in the most pressing issues of
our time since 1991. Our primary areas of focus are international relations,
human rights, environment
and natural resource management. In
doing our work, we further advance the theories and practices of collaborative
planning and cooperative problem solving on the community, national and international

Our goal is to ensure civility and equity in resolution through
our assessments, trainings and interventions. CRI’s approach
and methods have proven to be successful in teaching individuals
and groups how to develop durable agreements in diverse situations — from
the community, to public and private sectors to complex international
political scenarios. Our pro-active approach and current involvements
help prevent crises within and between communities; help prevent
war within and between nations; and are effective in enabling others to do
the same — this is how we live our mission.

In addition to direct involvements with client groups, CRI emphasizes working
partnerships with colleagues, Non-Governmental Organizations, and academic institutions
within and beyond our nation.

In the simplest terms, what we do is help people find ways to get along better — an
ancient yet thoroughly modern challenge that must be met in order that we all
may live in a safe, just and caring world.
